Cement-retained Prosthetic

Are the retaining screws (Ref.: RS-TV10, TV20, RS, RS-TV-30) included when ordering an abutment?

Yes, in general for all abutments of TRI® Dental Implants the retaining screws are included.

Is it possible to order the replacement screws seperately?
Yes, every screw can be ordered separately.

Are lab screws for the dental laboratory available?
Yes, lab screws are available.

How are the lab screws packaged?
They are available in a pack of 5. The lab screws are color-coded:
RS-TV10-Lab:    green
RS-TV20-Lab:    red
RS-TV40-Lab:    blue
RS-TV40-A-Lab:gold

Are the abutments made out of the same material as the implants?
The titanium abutments of TRI® Dental Implants are made out of the same titanium alloy
(Ti Grade5), as the implants: Titanium Grade 5.

The temporary plastic abutment (TV10_PTA) is made out of PEEK (Polyetheretherketon).

The cast- on gold abutment is made out of the gold alloy (HMA): 60% gold (Au),
19% platinum (Pt), 20% palladium (Pd), 1% iridium (Ir). The plastic sleeve is manufactured out of a residue-free burn-out plastic material: Polymethyl-Methacrylate (PMMA).

Is it possible to cast the gold abutment with a gold-reduced alloy (economy-alloy)?
No, it must be used a high-gold alloy for the casting. In case of doubt please contact the manufacturer of your alloy.

Are the healing collars, impression transfers, & abutments with diameter 3.5mm the same, for the TRI®-Vent & the TRI® Narrow implant-system?
No, the healing collars, impression transfers, & abutments with a diameter of 3.5mm
for a TRI®-Vent® are only matching to its 3.5mmD prosthetic platform, with an internal hexagon of 2.5mm.

The healing collars, impression transfers, & abutments with diameter 3.5mm
for a TRI®-Narrow implant are only matching to its 3.2mm prosthetic platform & with an internal hexagon of 2.1mm. These healing collars, impression transfers, & abutments are not compatible.

Are healing collars, impression transfers, & abutments with a diameter of 5mm abutment width available for the TRI®-Narrow implant-system?
No, parts for the TRI®-Narrow implant-system are only available with a diameter of 3.5mm.

Is the TRI®- Narrow implant-system approved for all sections in the mouth?
No, it is only approved for the anterior section.

What indication has the temporary plastic abutment?

90 days, it is made of the plastic material "Polyetheretherketone" (PEEK).

Which abutments can be used for a longer-term temporary treatment?
For the TRI-Vent® implant-system:
The straight abutment (TV-10-35 or TV10-50) without TRI®- Friction!
The straight screw-retained abutment (TV40) with the temporary titanium-cap TTA, as screwed retained temporary treatment!

For the TRI-Narrow® implant-system:
The straight abutment, without TRI®-Friction (TN-10-35)!
The straight screw-retained abutment (TV40) with the temporary titanium-cap TTA, as screwed retained temporary treatment!

Up to which level can an abutment be shortened?
The abutments are marked with a line . This indicates the level up to which the abutments can be shortened, without affecting the retaining screw.

What  is the retention area of the Transfer and Straight Abutment (TV-10-35 or TV10-50), respectively (TN10-35) made for?

It is the retention area for the Indirect Transfer Cap (ITC).

What is the use of the abutment holder (TVAH or TNAH)?
It is a tool to hold an abutment during the grinding process chairside or at the laboratory. The abutment can be screwed on the TVAH / TVAH to grind it. Thus it can be held securely, during the process of grinding.
In addition, TRI® offers a kit, which includes suitable titanium mills to grind a titanium abutment chairside (SET4548).

Can the straight abutment with TRI®-Friction be used for an indirect impression?
A straight abutment with TRI®-Friction can only be removed from the implant with the removal tool for TRI®-Friction (TRT). It is therefore not indicated as an Impression post.

Can the prefabricated edge of the Contour Abutments be processed individually?
Yes, the edge can be processed for aesthetic reasons if it is necessary.

Why must one of the straight sides of the internal hexagon, during the surgery be aligned to the buccal or labial direction?

Because, the angulation and the pre-prepared edge of the Contour Abutments are aligned, with respect to the adjacent teeth, with one of the six straight sides of the hexagon!

Does the terms "diameter" or "emergence profile" of the healing abutments, impression transfers and abutments mean the same thing?
Yes, there are just two different terms for the same indication; the horizontal width of the healing collars, impression transfers and abutments on the tissue level.

Which type of cemented abutments of TRI® Dental Implants have the TRI®- Friction connection?
All straight and angled abutments with the designation "F" at the end
of the reverence numbers (catalog page 4).

Does the cast- on gold-abutment® have the TRI®-Friction connection?
No, this is technically not possible. A gold alloy is too soft for this purpose

Are the prosthetic components for the TRI-Vent® implant-system compatible with other systems?

Yes, they are compatible with the:
3.5mm prosthetic platform (3.7mm implant) of the Tapered Screw-Vent® implant-system of Zimmer Dental, the Legacy Implant lines of Implant Direct, the 3.5mm prosthetics of MIS and Biohorizons
